About The Artist

Tali in her studio
The owner of Forest's Edge Clayworks, Tali Waterman, has been working with clay since the late seventies. After attending production crafts school in North Carolina, she's had over 21 years of teaching experience, offering instruction to both individuals and groups. Currently her time is balanced between teaching and producing her own body of work.

Tali has chosen porcelain as her preferred clay, as it is an excellent medium for fine carving. Her design motifs are often floral, and images are commonly inspired by Art Nouveau or botanical drawings. Pieces are individually designed, so that her pots maintain their own separate qualities. No two pieces are identical, which keeps the work challenging.

Tali produces work which suits a wide range of tastes, continually adding new ideas to the repertoire. Her work is produced primarily on commission.
